An integral part of the Office of Student Affairs, the Co-Curricular Activities Office acts as the core facilitating and governing body for all clubs/societies administered by the student representatives of the clubs. The key to the success of this program and each club is student leadership, interest, involvement, broad-based participation and collaboration.
LUMS promotes student participation in a variety of physical, intellectual, athletic and recreational activities, and provides students with opportunities to engage in the activities of their choice at various skill levels, providing virtual real-life environments that directly contribute to the development of student leadership amid increased collaboration between the individual clubs. These activities also enable students to compete at national/international events, act as ambassadors of the institution, and promote the image and reputation of LUMS as an institution that encourages diverse extracurricular activities.
Clubs are governed by the rules and regulations involving all recognized student organizations on the campus.
No less than 48 active societies and clubs exist at LUMS that allow students to meet their recreational and vocational needs. Some of these have international affiliations. Whatever be the interest of the student, there is a good chance that there is a society or club involved in that activity that one can sign up with. Many societies are ranked high nationally and have also fared consistently well in international outings and competitions in the most diverse of social, academic, diplomatic and many other domains.
