HBL conducted its recruitment drive for The League programmes at LUMS on February 14, 2019. The League consists of an 18-month Management Trainee Programme that can lead to a permanent position, and a six weeks paid Summer Internship Programme.

Sanam Hasnani, Programme Manager, Talent Management HBL, started the session by interacting with students and giving a brief introduction about the bank. HBL is one of the oldest banks in Pakistan; it was incorporated in Bombay in 1941 and then moved to Pakistan in 1947. It has more than 17000 employees and 1700+ branches with a global presence spanning across four continents. Ms. Hasnani further explained The League programmes in detail and the different stages of the selection process.

Saira Halai, Head Talent Management HBL, then took the stage to inform the attendees of the hiring procedures at the organisation. HBL is always looking to hire young, talented and energetic individuals who are passionate and think creatively. The bank provides a rich exposure to young employees by providing them mentorship from industry experts.

A few HBL Management Trainees also shared their enriching experience of working with HBL. At the end of the session, a short video was played describing The League Management Trainee and Summer Internship Programmes followed by a question and answer session.
