Innowi Inc carried out its Recruitment Drive 2019 at LUMS on Friday, May 10, 2019. Muhammad Waqar Majeed, LUMS alum and Business Associate Innowi Inc, formally started the session by introducing the organisation to the students. Innowi Inc, is a leading tech company and the first all-in-one mobile POS solution capable of taking payments on the go. It is a pioneer in mobile hardware design, POS payments, and mobile commerce solutions and has designed a smart, secure and sophisticated device to enable taking payments anywhere.
After Mr. Majeed shared the details of his journey with Innowi he then invited Joel Larson, Vice President of the Innovation Department through a Video call. Mr. Larson shared the basic idea of the startup and described the history of Innowi, their technical solutions, operational areas and profile of employees as well as the details of LUMS alumni working with the company. He elaborated that Innowi is a leading tech company founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA. Apart from their head office, their regional offices are in Lahore, Pakistan and Shenzhen, China.
Innowi’s mission is to revolutionise the retail industry through world-class technology. Mr. Larson also explained that today’s biggest problem globally is poor customer experience due to long lines, old infrastructure and poor customer support as well as inefficient or unmonitored labor. This in turn creates communication and sale/purchase issues for which Innowi finds the best solution by introducing four applications of daily usage, which makes lives easier and comfortable.
Mr. Larson then invited Shayan Toor, Global Business Manager and also a LUMS alum, to take the stage. Mr. Toor shared that the Innowi ecosystem is made up of 3 parts: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Software, and Hardware Platform.
Mr. Toor further explained that Innowi’s Artificial Intelligence application enables you to truly know your customer’s feelings and experience using a camera. Also their software of 4 apps in 1 NexGen Store helps your store run more efficiently and eliminates old hardware and store processes. He also shared that Wal-Mart and Amazon are among the top clients of Innowi. Mr. Toor then shared the recruitment process and the available positions for jobs and internships before taking questions from the audience. The session ended with a written test for interested candidates.
