Karachi Electric (K-Electric) conducted its recruitment drive at LUMS on April 4 for their Management Trainee and Internship programme. Mr. Raza Mehar (Manager HRBP) started the session by giving an introduction to their team and gave a brief presentation about the history and culture of K-Electric.
K-Electric Limited caters to the city’s 6,500 square kilometres and supplies electricity to all the industrial, commercial, agricultural and residential areas that come under its network. The organisation has over 2.5 million customer accounts in Karachi, Dhabeji and Gharo in Sindh, and Hub, Uthal, Vindar and Bela in Balochistan. It is the only vertically-integrated power utility in Pakistan, managing all three key stages – generation, transmission and distribution – of producing and delivering energy to consumers. K-Electric is also one of the city’s largest employers, with nearly 11,000 members of staff.
Mr. Mehar then discussed the process of applying to their Management Trainee and Internship programme and explained the online test, which is the first step of their recruitment process. The presentation ended with an interactive question and answer session followed by the online test.
